Last Chance Qualifier

July 30 (Saturday)

Mighty Meeple - Concord, NC - 8440 Pit Stop Ct NW #180

Format: Standard (SSH - GO)

Registration: 11am - 12pm

Entry: $20 ($25 if after 11:45am)

Start Time: 12:10pm



• Entry REQUIRMENT: Only players who've earned at least 5 Attendance Points from throughout the season may particpate in this Last Chance Qualifier event. (Attendance Points WILL be checked and players without 5 Attendance Points WILL be denied entry.)


• The Top 4 finishers earn a spot to compete in the States Championships the next day!




• Swiss Rounds: Best of 3 - 50 minutes


• Top Cut: Best of 3 - 75 minutes


• Paper lists Required - Deck Checks WILL be conducted


• If there's a Top Cut of 8, essentially that's the last and only single elimination round. The 4 winners of Top 8 have completed the event, earning their spot in States. (These 4 winners do not have to pay the State's entry fee.)


• The above also applies if there's only a Top Cut of 4, the event simply ends with the announcment of the players that made cut.

• The Top 32 players in CS Points are invited to play in this event.


• The Top 4 players in Attendance Points are invited to play in this event.


• The Top 4 finishers from the Last Chance Qualifier are invited to play in this event.




• Swiss Rounds: Best of 3 - 50 minutes


• Top Cut: Best of 3 - 75 minutes


• Paper lists Required - Deck Checks WILL be conducted


• The Top 8 ranked players from the season have a Round 1 bye. (These 8 players will have higher resistance than other players with the same matchpoints.)

FYI: (Though there are more sanctioned events scheduled, one can earn CS Points only at the below listed sanctioned events, as they're within a reasonable distance from the Carolinas.)


Reminder: We are in no way related to PoP/TPCI, simply put, your ranking in the Carolinas can increase based on results and placements at officially sanctioned events. Final results are public information, thus can be used to adjust Carolina players' standings accordingly.

Only cards with the regulation marks of either D, E and F are legal. (Any set or promo released since Sword & Shield)

GLC Format

Any set from Black & White (2011) up through our recent sets in the Sword & Shield series are legal.

Only one of each card with the same name allowed per deck. Except for Basic Energy.

All Pokemon in deck must be of the same type. (ie. only Psychic Pokemon, only Grass Pokemon...)

Banned Cards: Ace Specs, Rule Box Pokemon (ie EXs, Prisms, V's...), Oranguru from Ultra Prism (Resource Managment), Lysandre's Trump Card, & Forest of Giant Plants.

Decks consist of 60 cards, non-see-through sleeves.

Player who goes first cannot attack nor use a Supporter.

English cards only.

2010 Worlds Format

Sets legal: Diamond & Pearl through HGSS Unleashed.

Decks consist of 60 cards, non-see-through sleeves.

You CAN use World Championship decks, cards and proxies for these events, as long as they're printed in color and fit into a sleeve.

Player who goes first can attack, but cannot play ANY Items, Supporters, or Stadium cards.

Players CAN evolve Pokemon on the first turn or first turn they're played with the use of a card's effects. (ie Rare Candy, Spiritomb's Darkness Grace attack...)

When playing a Supporter card, keep in play beside Active Pokemon until end of turn.
